Welcome to my world

  1. I believe in the Creator
He is my Guide, my Protector, my Benefactor. He gives me reasons to be thankful. He gives me lessons to learn and patience. He has led me to where I am today. I believe that everything in this world is from the Creator, of the Creator, and for the Creator. (Panentheism)
  2. What goes around, comes around
Or - Good things happen to good people
I firmly believe that my actions trigger others' actions. For every good I do, something good seems to happen to me.
  3. Respect life
Your life is as valuable as mine, whether you be man, child or critter. I don't have to like you, but you're as entitled to your spot on this beautiful planet as I am. Bugs in my home are taken outside, where they belong, spiders are welcome, and varmints are mostly taken care of by my dogs.
  4. Laugh at yourself, laugh with others
When I take myself too serious, I lose my focus on others. Selfishness is the result.
Laughing at others at their expense hurts their feelings and might cause them to feel inferior. I know the feeling of inferiority and do not like it, therefore I should not cause others to feel this way.
  5. Nothing is free
Everything I want in life, I have to work for. I do not believe in lotteries or "free" stuff.
The only way I can accept the idea of welfare, is if it was a temporary assistance program that requires to pay back every cent received while in need.
  6. Working is learning
I don't think I have ever done a job or task where I did not learn something. I love learning, therefore I work a lot, and stay busy a lot. Even doing this web page, I have gathered a lot of information while doing research and being contacted by people.
  7. Honesty goes farther
Even though it is sometimes hard to be honest, I have found that I get much better results being honest. (I am not saying that I have never lied, or never will lie, by any means!) But in general, interaction with people is easier on an honest basis. I try not to confuse honesty with blatant rudeness.
  8. Treat your business relations as you treat your friends
I take time to listen, respond quickly, and try to be tolerant. Someone who trusts me, will conduct business with me again and again.
  1. Never miss an opportunity to teach.
Knowledge is important in life. I try to share my knowledge, and encourage learning. Ignorance is the cause of the demise of many civilizations. Ignorant people tend to blindly follow, and if you are not fully aware of whom you are following, you might end up with the Pied Piper.
  2. Be kind and expect kindness in others.
It is easy to condemn a person for his/her faults, but when you look beyond the outer shell, you might find a jewel of a person.
Islam: No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.
Sikhism: Precious like jewels are the minds of all. To hurt them is not at all good. If thou desirest thy Beloved, then, hurt thou not any one's heart.
Baha'i Faith: Blessed is he who preferreth his brother before himself.
Hinduism: This is the sum of duty: do naught to others that which if done to thee would cause pain.
Judaism: What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow men. This is the entire Law; all the rest is commentary
  3. I believe in the 2d Amendment
I adored Charlton Heston as a pre-teen. When he became president of the NRA, I was happy that I had had such good taste as a young girl. On this site I have included one of his most brilliant speeches to students at Harvard University in February of 1999.
  4. Greed is the root of much evil
Someone wants to get rich quick at someone else's expense.
Richess is not what makes for happiness. Money is not the buy-all remedy for today's societal problems. It is *we* ourselves who have to make this happen, individually.

Those are my initial thoughts. I am sure there will be more following. Just come back and see.

If you enjoy talking about religion or philosophy, drop me a line. I am always open to discussion and learning.

If you don't like my thoughts, I probably don't like yours, either. But let's be tolerant of each other. It takes all kinds to make the world a more interesting place. In order to have winners, there must be losers. Flames are not accepted, constructive and informed criticism is appreciated.
